Hello, there!

I'm Will, and I'm a software developer.

I'm a fourth year Software Engineering major at the University of California, Irvine (expected graduation June 2019). I strive to build quality applications in solo and team environments.

By writing and designing programs, I hope to make technology more empowering and intuitive. Most projects have been front end heavy, but I'm excited with working on full stack applications.

I’m currently seeking full time new grad positions starting in June 2019 or beyond. If you’d like to work together, or would just like to chat, let’s get in touch!

Work

Square

During the summer of 2018, I was fortunate enough to intern on the Compliance Engineering team, which is responsible for regulating user behavior on Square's various platforms. On top of learning a ton, here's what I did:

  • Reduced engineers' on call burden by detecting, resolving, and reprocessing data that failed initial user screening.
  • Supported updates for an API which connects teams to Compliance Engineering's services by generating mock responses.
  • Scarfed down plates of the culinary team's meals. Seriously, the food here is amazing.

UCI ANTrepreneur Center

The on-campus resource for entrepreneurs at the University of California, Irvine. During my two and a half years there, here's what I did:

  • Facelifted the organization's website as part of its rebranding strategy.
  • Created a native blog page to showcase student entrepreneurs and drive site traffic.
  • Promoted the new office available for student startups and create revenue opportunities for the Center.
  • Interviewed and wrote about student businesses, and led writing, editing, and publishing of monthly e-newsletter.
